Procurement Specialist Jobs

A procurement specialist prepares and implements management system and procedures that are cost effective for the company. A procurement specialist updates the procurement plans in consultation with his seniors. A procurement specialist prepares terms of references, specifications and schedules of requirements in the procurement plan and prepares requests for proposals and bidding documents. A procurement specialist should document and maintain the information on material and service costs, suppliers and products. It is the responsibility of a procurement specialist to ensure that the procurement and disposal records are maintained safely. A procurement specialist should attend to queries and complaints regarding procurement and the related contracts. A procurement specialist is responsible for contract administration and finalizing the contracts for the final signature.

A procurement specialist should possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Procurement, Economics or Law with experience in this domain. A procurement specialist should possess excellent interpersonal and communicating skills and should be a computer literate well conversant with word processor, spreadsheets and other applications used in the procurement function.
