IPS is hiring! We are looking for a talented Procurement Specialist to join our industry leading Construction Management team on-site in Portsmouth, NH.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supporting activities associated with corporate and project-related procurement and contracts administration of equipment, materials, services for assigned IPS offices and clients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Establish and maintain Sourcing mindset in the affiliate, ensuring an optimal balance of Pricing, Quality, Delivery Time, Compliance and best practice.
\u201cAmbassador\u201d of the IPS Procurement Policy: implementation in the affiliate and training of the stakeholders.
Local interface with Sourcing (all the Category Managers), ensuring use of best practice, deals and tools.
Ensure spend optimization, in line with performance goals, through: (1) Supplier management (negotiation), (2) Demand management (cost avoidance).
Ensure that IPS consistently secure favorable contractual terms in commercial contracts (negotiate key points of the contracts).
Maintain awareness of the vendor market and benchmarks the best-in-class practice, so as to be more efficient and to be proactive.
Report on plans, activities and results to Direct and Functional Managers. Coordinate where appropriate with Sourcing colleagues at local and global level to achieve synergies and best-practice. Ensure adherence to IPS Polices and tools. Monitor and achieve Global and Local goals for cost optimization (performance) and agreed annual procurement-related KPIs.
Reach out for support from Category Managers regarding individual projects and use IPS\u2019s entire infrastructure. (e.g. tools, templates, spend visibility, reports, etc.)
Provide support to projects in other countries upon request from the Direct Manager.
Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
In depth knowledge and experience of procurement and contract negotiation, ideally in direct area within the Pharma industry.
Demonstrated results in achieving increasing value and significant savings for stakeholder (internal customers).
Self-involved, self-motivated and have a mindset of challenging the existing.
Bachelor\u2019s Degree required.
5 years of in-depth knowledge and experience of procurement and contract negotiation, ideally within the Pharma industry.
Demonstrated results in achieving increased value and significant savings for stakeholders (internal customers).
Self-motivated with a mindset of challenging the existing status quo while exhibiting the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders.
A driven leader with excellent communication and organizational skills while possessing the ability to influence and constructively challenge cross-functional project teams and business partners to achieve project goals.
Strong skill set in gaining market place intelligence and communicating the commercial impact of such information back to internal decision makers for timely resolve.
Proven track record of managing vendor relationships and demonstrate value contribution through negotiated savings, competitive bidding and cycle times.
Strong presentation, leadership and project management skills.
Experience leading complex contract negotiations.
Experience analyzing proposals/bid packages and conducting supplier analysis.
Awareness of the various methodologies for measuring the value of procurement decisions, both financially and qualitatively.
A CPM/CPSM certification is also preferred.
