Role Overview:
Primary purpose of this role is to lead the Procurement Center of Expertise focused on developing and deploying best in class programs enabling Kimberly-Clark (K-C) Procurement Transformation journey.  The role will require strong collaboration within the Procurement Team both regionally and globally, as well as integrating cross functionally within the Global Supply Chain Team.
The Procurement COE Director would be the Global Process Leader for the following programs and tools:
Strategic Category Management
Capability development
Supplier Relationship Management:
Collaboration & innovation
New product development engagement
Procurement Policies and Procedures:
Compliance & controls
Risk management
Contract management
Professional Development
Develop and deploy Procurement capability assessments and gap analysis
Define and develop global Procurement capability framework in collaboration with the KC Supply Chain University
Operations Excellence:
Establishing a clear P2P program, improving operational efficiency across Procurement
Develop the vision and strategy to define the future Procurement Operations
Automation of Procurement processes and reporting
E-procurement Tools
Buyer & Supplier portal development
ORGANIZATION: People Responsibilities/ reporting line/partnerships
The incumbent reports to the Vice President Global Procurement.
The position will manage functional teams supporting the delivery of global programs
Incumbent will influence senior regional leadership to drive change and deliver improved business results. While also collaborating with Supply Chain Leaders, External Vendors and adjacent business functions.
Responsible for executing projects with large potential impact to business results, and developing skills and talent across the global procurement organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Sets strategic direction for Procurement Center of Expertise (CoE).  Plans out programs and executes implementation to realize best in class performance as a Procurement function.
Builds return-on-investment justification and aligns Procurement leadership and key stakeholder groups to CoE strategies and deployment plans.
Owns the capability development expectations for all of Procurement globally and partners with the global Procurement leaders to build and execute capability development plans for the function.
Lead the Supplier Relationship Management program deployment enabling K-C to identify, cultivate, and develop suppliers that can become strategic partners.
Drives and embeds strategic programs such as New Product Development engagement to bring value creation for K-C through supplier collaboration and access to new technology / innovation for Materials, Services and Processes.
Ensure tools, processes in place and training content is developed to enable K-C strategic sourcing framework and embed Strategic Category Management.
Leads development, continuous improvement efforts, implementation and maintenance of new global processes, systems, controls and policies.
Drives Risk Management, Contracting and Process Compliance per defined internal controls and policies, standardizing globally as appropriate.
Leads efforts in procurement technology, ensuring best-in-class tools are leveraged globally wherever possible.  Look ahead to define a digital procurement platform that aligns to K-C future requirements.  Build and deploy roadmap with Supply Chain IT.
Integrator role in K-C Supply Chain, and across Centers of Expertise as well as across central and regional procurement organizations.
Drive adoption of best practices via collaboration and continuous improvement methodology, bringing external and internal benchmarks.
Partner with K-C Global Business Services, ensuring efficient and effective Procure-To-Pay processes/tools.
Governance including leading Steering Committees, defining and facilitating cadence meetings for supplier performance management, such as Key Business Reviews and Top to Top meetings.
Essential knowledge / Experience: 
Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience in Procurement function with 5 years of increasing responsibility in procurement leadership roles
Knowledge in and experience with Procurement processes and systems from sourcing to supplier payment
Strong leadership capability, demonstrating ability to develop and deploy strategy through detailed action plans
Past experience in building a Procurement capability development framework  
Continuous improvement experience and mindset
Change management experience with large organizational changes
Experienced talent developer, and demonstrated ability in leading and inspiring a team to exceptional results
Extensive Stakeholder Management experience across diverse styles and cultures
Savvy business acumen, executive presence, presentation and facilitation skills
Critical Skills/Qualifications:  
Demonstrated leadership skill and experience leading cross-functional teams
Demonstrated facilitation skills
Cross-functional knowledge throughout the supply chain
Able to lead and manage with ambiguity and autonomy
Ability to question and challenge assumptions; interrogating existing practices to drive improvement; ability to observe existing business practice, to inform new practices and refine
Consistent track record of delivering results while creating/maintaining a continuous improvement culture.  
Ability to work in a global matrix organization driving collaboration across businesses and functions
