Overview: Seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to support the Sr. Director of Global Strategic Sourcing. This person will be working for a well-known, global company with headquarters in San Francisco. This I a 6 month contract to start, with potential for conversion depending on performance, among other factors. This person will be tasked with supporting multiple cross-functional projects across key categories of indirect spend. You will support category managers in benchmarking and research, data gathering and analysis. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on projects across various indirect spend categories, such marketing, ecommerce, IT services, and retail, to name a few. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; building and executing RFP/RFI's, in depth analysis and presentation of results (written or verbal). The proper candidate will have the ability to thrive in an ever changing environment, is collaborative and will generate value for the organization. Additional responsibilities for this position include: Effectively support Managers in creating value focused strategies that align with department goals. Build cross-functional relationships within the company Mange key global strategic sourcing team initiatives, such as leading weekly PMO's and generating key reports. Contribute to department goals by working closely with various category managers to identify opportunities within categories to create value for the organization. Through spend analytics and market intelligence work with category managers, to build business cases in support of key strategic initiatives. Develop, distribute RFP's/RFI's, and provide analysis of responses. Ability to learn new categories quickly Demonstrate critical thinking; consider all factors affecting a decision before making a recommendation. Ability to multi-task across multiple initiatives, and manage prioritization of projects Skill to quickly build credibility and trust with relevant stakeholders. Maintain up-to-date knowledge in procurement practices, technologies and market trends related to assigned categories of goods and services. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree a plus 0-3 years' experience in strategic sourcing, indirect procurement Additional Qualifications Experience working on business process improvement and/or strategy projects Solid business judgement, including the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions & initiatives Capacity to be a change agent, demonstrating persistence and resiliencies when faced with challenges. Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast paced environment.
