Position REQUIRES experience in a healthcare office setting
Job Summary
This Position provides preparation and administration commercial vendor contract terms and conditions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Candidate will implement category management strategies to reduce costs (both direct and indirect) and increase value to the company. They will assist with vendor management activities on an as-needed basis as directed.
Responsibilities
Reviews and negotiates standard and non-standard vendor contracts including but not limited to procurement contracts, professional services agreements, and purchase orders.
Ensures compliance with procedures developed as they relate to vendor contracts administration, and other contract related risk management and compliance issues.
Interface, communicate with and educate company's associates in the performance of company's Contract Review Approval and Execution Policy and Purchasing Procedures.
Ensure appropriateness of contract revisions to company approved contracting standards.
At the direction of Procurement management, research, analyze and track contractual financial obligations for accounting purposes.
At the direction of Procurement management, research and analyze contractual issues.
Compile, summarize and analyze data and facts regarding operations and other legal and business information as needed.
Propose solutions to problems identified for discussion by Procurement management.
Works closely with Legal Department.
Serves as the point of contact for both internal customers and vendors.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education : A High School Diploma or GED required; A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
Work Experience : 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement or Vendor Contracting required.
Strong demonstrated experience in contract creation, contract editing and standard contractual language framework required.
