Job Summary
Candidates for the role will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of embedded products and modernized pursuits within the Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Solutions portfolio. Program Managers in this role will lead pursuit and order capture, product line execution, transition to production, contract profit & loss, and customer affinity. The Program Manager will coordinate activities across Rockwell Collins’ shared business model; including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and service functions.
Job Responsibilities
Work with business development to lead the pursuit and order capture of strategic legacy and modernized embedded navigation opportunities; including most important requirements, competitive face-off, Price to Win (PTW), and customer contact plans.
Plans, directs, and monitors program budgets and schedule; serves as primary customer contact for program information. Has responsibility for profit & loss of the program.
Responsible for managing programs of moderate to high complexity; including active risk management. Typically responsible for programs between $50-100M (total program) or key strategic programs with long term revenue potential of $50-100M within 5-10 years.
Responsible for maintaining existing products and services. This includes managing obsolete parts, production and delivery, and customer support. Responsible for product roadmaps for future product line features/enhancements. Has R&D responsibility for upgrades to existing and major new products.
Interact with subcontractors and suppliers concerning program execution, strategic planning, teaming agreements, associations, etc.
Responsible for the decision point process; coordinates responsibilities with other functional areas within Rockwell Collins.
Effectively networks internally and with the broader customer community.

Ability to engage a team around a shared vision and strategy, can articulate complex messages simply; balances long and short term, team player, courageous, and able to deal with ambiguity.
Delivers consistent results and build strategic initiatives for the future.
Works with little supervision. Provides program status reviews with executive level visibility on a regular basis.
Builds strong and extensive working relationships internally and externally. External customer contacts are typically mid-level program management, engineering, maintenance and procurement agents.
Applies an in-depth understanding of cultural differences when interacting and conducting business locally, regionally and globally.
The ability to quickly establish relationships with Rockwell Collins’ customers, strategic partners, and suppliers.
Basic Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Position, Navigation and timing (PNT) for military applications. Having worked in the GPS market is a strong plus.
Prior experience in Project Management; can execute large value programs; experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), risk management expertise.
Experience negotiating complex and large value business; strong understanding of government contracting processes.
Proven ability to manage a diverse set of Programs, Products that together contribute to a singular Business goal.
Expectations for Travel up to 25%.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, applied experience in military procurement, business, or program management.
Advance degree (MBA) preferred with knowledge of the military Position, Navigation and Timing industry.
Preferred Skills
Understanding of RC-MAP, RC-IPM, RC-TCP is desired
Understanding of Rockwell Collins Pursuit and Order Capture Process is desired
