Beckman Coulter is a Danaher company, operating in two industries: Diagnostics and Life Sciences.u00a0 Description The Senior Analyst Procurement is directly responsible for the planning, organizing, and execution of strategic and tactical procurement activities for direct purchases across multiple commodities within the guidelines of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. policies and procedures while supporting the operational and financial goals and objectives of the Company and maintaining the highest ethical standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: u00b7Manages the purchasing of critical components and commodities for production across multiple value streams. u00b7Manages the purchasing of expense materials and service suppliers to support MRO purchases. u00b7Manages material procurement activities from external and internal entity suppliers, scheduling, ordering, and expediting for material needs. u00b7Works closely with Material Control, Planning, Manufacturing, Facilities, and Shipping/Receiving functions to track and report status and define priorities to meet production schedules. Manages elevated emergency situations, part shortages and expedites when necessary. Works closely with Corporate Strategic Sourcing group to determine long-term corrective/preventative measures. u00b7Follows material procurement and supplier management policies & procedures through SOP work instructions for supply chain. u00b7Responsible for supplier management to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction through use of established lean tools. u00b7Is assigned to manage specific daily standard work activities to provide daily procurement priority and status to others in the supply chain and operationsu2019 organization. u00b7Employs procurement automation and standardized buying processes across value streams using tools such as Kanban with blanket orders and auto-releases based on other trigger mechanisms. u00b7Identifies and assists with resolving any issues that delay material deliveries. u00b7Can be assigned to lead cross-functional teams focused on supplier lead-time reduction or to lead or participate in special projects for Continuous Improvement. u00b7Participates on teams to determine specific cost reduction activities that are assigned as commodities dictate. Goals are established and tracked. u00b7Attend, contribute and represent the Procurement Group at regularly scheduled project meetings and other supply and demand planning meetings. u00b7Providing support and guidance to other supply chain professionals including but not limited to tactical buyers and commodity leaders. Qualifications u00b7Bachelor's degree with 5 yearsu2019 experience, or Master's degree with 3 yearsu2019 experience, or PhD with 2 yearsu2019 experience.Experience in a professional purchasing role. u00b7Requires strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal leadership skills in a high volume work environment. u00b7Must have a practical working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems: PRMS and Oracle working knowledge is preferred. u00b7Previous experience purchasing for MRO is preferred. u00b7Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office applications especially Excel with the ability tou00a0learn new programs that are job specific. u00b7Must have demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement/Lean efforts and cost reduction initiatives. Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: u00b7Applied knowledge of Lean/6 Sigma Supply Chain oru00a0other continuous improvement methodologies in a regulated manufacturingu00a0environment. u00b7Au00a0practical working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems u00b7Demonstratedu00a0knowledge of how to effectively operate in a regulated procurement environment (FDA, GMED, NCIS etc.) u00b7Supplier contract creation and management knowledge and experience u00b7Strong negotiation skills u00b7High level of fluency in MS Excel and Outlook and a medium level of skill in the balance of the MS Office suite of programs *LI-TH1.
