Global Supply Manager, PCB/FPCB, Consumer Hardware
Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.
As a Global Supply Manager, you will serve as the primary contact for internal teams and external partners/suppliers for sourcing and procurement. You'll build consensus with internal and external stakeholders and will be the main contact for consultations and supplier management. Additionally, you'll lead and support the development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide Google’s Consumer Hardware Organization with optimal pricing, flexibility, quality and supply assurance. Working closely with Product Management, Hardware and Software Engineering, Industrial Design, Quality Engineering and Operations Teams, you will act as the commercial manager with a focus on agreements and pricing and on maintaining long-term strategic supplier relationships.

Develop and action strategies for Consumer Hardware; identify and implement new opportunities for cost savings/avoidance including optimizing the supply base.
Develop an understanding of cost competing technologies, process and products to guide and influence product development and decisions; Create and/or optimize cost models for evaluating modules, components and new processes.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and risks related to product design and business plans.
Develop global sourcing strategies with defined plans for cost savings, risk assessment and mitigation and supply planning agreements.
Address all areas of global sourcing and supply chain management including commodity business plans, supplier performance management, global market, pricing analysis, agreements and procurement support.
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of work experience in a similar role.
3 years of experience in Commodity/Supply Chain Management or Strategic Sourcing.
Experience in sourcing and procurement for printed circuit boards (PCB) and/or flexible printed circuit boards (FPCB).
MBA, Master's degree or other advanced degree.
10 years of experience in a similar role.
7 years of experience in Commodity/Supply Chain Management and/or Camera Sourcing.
Effective communication, interpersonal, sourcing, and collaboration skills, with excellent project management skills.
