General Purpose of Job

Managing vendor relationships, inventory stock and forecasting the demand of products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities• Product management including forecasting sales/consumption volumes & negotiating pricing, terms & delivery for purchased goods• Forecast demand of products, manage safety stock quantities & monitor facility inventory on-hand quantities• Negotiate & manage vendor relationships, terms & contracts including sourcing & setting up new vendors• Become knowledgeable in all products Prinsco sells & gain an understanding of the various markets we participate.• Become proficient in use of IQMS and/or INFOR EAM software in purchasing & inventory areas (information look-up, run reports, problem solve, planning, purchase order creation & receipt of goods)• Determine & maintain material requirements utilizing the company’s ERP system (IQMS), within defined inventory & cost objectives• Maintain supplier purchasing, planning & inventory records in ERP system (IQMS) or INFOR EAM• Participate in continued development of risk management plan – supplier base, material availability, & loss prevention• Request cycle counts by facility inventory control personnel to verify inventory, as needed• Administer purchase orders through requirements analysis & request for quotes• Perform standard purchasing activities in accordance with best purchasing practices aligned with Prinsco’s Core Values & Objectives• Participate as a key member of the Supply Chain Management Team & other cross-functional teams

Position Specific Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Procurement Specialist – MRO• Assist in MRO (Maintenance, Repairs & Operations) parts and supplies purchasing and inventory management.• Communicate with Regional Maintenance Coordinator regarding equipment parts needs and restock parts inventory levels. • Assist Regional Maintenance Coordinator with audit of plant parts inventory stores.• Ensure INFOR EAM purchasing process is followed by each facility. • Become knowledgeable in parts & service vendors/suppliers of Prinsco and establish relationships with each. • Supplier relationship management including sourcing and bidding

Qualifications• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, preferred• Experience in purchasing for multi-location company, required • Three years of experience in materials planning, preferred• Background in plastics manufacturing, beneficial• Proficient in PC usage & Microsoft office products• ERP/MRP experience, preferred• Advanced written & verbal communication skills• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one & small groups situations to customers, clients, & other employees of the organization• Ability to calculate figures & amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions & percentages• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, & draw valid conclusions
