Short Description
This position will drive the execution of strategic sourcing & business strategies for the Technology organization in a collaborative team-based environment to achieve company goals. Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to drive sourcing transactions with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions while maintaining/improving product quality and supplier service levels. This includes RFx development, facilitation, scorecard, analysis, vendor selection, negotiations and issue resolution.
Identify and evaluate enterprise level sourcing opportunities in alignment with strategic, operating and financial DFS objectives. Lead the negotiation and purchase of enterprise goods and services with a focus on the technology category. Partner with internal business clients to ensure that purchased goods and services meet their requirements.  Proactively seek ways to drive down total cost of ownership through competition and strong vendor relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and perform day-to-day responsibilities of the technology sourcing team
Lead the negotiation of technology agreements that deliver value to our stakeholders ensuring service, quality and added value maximizing the supplier’s capabilities
Lead the development and management of RFxs
Drive ideas that will optimize year-over-year total cost of ownership
Maintain awareness of best practices in the marketplace and implement appropriate changes
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate effectively across organization levels, functions and lines of business to realize procurement goals and objectives
Negotiate complex contractual agreements with consistent commercial terms satisfying regulatory requirements per DFS policy
Assess and monitor vendor performance against contractual commitments. Escalate unresolved or major issues impacting DFS business to management, including recommendations to pursue service level remedies where appropriate
May supervise professional staff
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain Management preferred)
MBA preferred
Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in procurement, specifically in the technology space including contracting, sourcing and negotiations
Minimum 5 years of information technology procurement and supplier management experience
Successful track record in a large procurement organization
Demonstrated success developing and leading a high performance procurement team that delivers quantifiable, bottom-line results in close partnership with key stakeholders
Demonstrated experience with technology hardware and software procurement transactions 
Previous experience with evaluating vendor proposals
Strong ability to build relationships across all levels
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
Process driven with strong analytical acumen
Strong negotiation expertise with an understanding of key contracting concepts and legal terms
Ability to translate business requirements into agreements
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and reach consensus
Experience with constructing presentations and business cases
Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP system experience
CPM or CPSM preferred
