Our client a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry is looking for a Clinical Procurement Manager to join the Fort Worth, TX, location. Duties: Support the Clinical sourcing process by ensuring adherence to established policies/guidelines and delivering quality, timely and cost-effective contracts and resource solutions. Provide business partnering support to assigned customer groups to facilitate operational and strategic discussions. Primary point of contact for assigned customer groups to execute category strategies for managed categories and to facilitate operational and strategic topics Negotiate, process and deliver quality clinical vendor contracts according to local/divisional standards and guidelines in collaboration with functional partners including but not limited to Legal, Finance, and QA Deliver, document and report cost savings for assigned contracts and initiatives Work with assigned customer teams, GCM’s, and EDO to identify, approve, and performance-manage vendors Drive contracting standardization initiatives across the Novartis enterprise Collaborate with NGSCs where appropriate to facilitate completion of the assigned workload Contribute to the audit/HA inspection process where required Participate in initiatives in support of NBS objectives Experience in pharmaceutical drug development environment preferred Experience working in a global organization desired Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and within budget Demonstrated attention to detail Demonstrated understanding of contract administration Strong written and oral communication skills Strong problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills (team player) Ability to work independently Skills: At least 3-5 years clinical outsourcing experience in Drug Development in Pharmaceutical Industry Detailed understanding of the clinical development process and very robust understanding of the management of clinical trials Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and within budget. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills. Solid understanding of contracts (including solid legal understanding of terms and conditions). Familiar with the CRO/Central Laboratories/Reference Laboratories and Specialty Provider marketplace. Solid financial understanding (understanding of cost drivers for clinical trials) as it relates to contracts and cost reductions. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Strong problem solving skills. Ability to think strategically and to visualize potential future scenarios based on business needs Demonstrated willingness to make decisions and to take responsibility for such. Ability to address issues assertively while maintaining a non-threatening posture Excellent interpersonal skills (team player). Fluent English – Oral and written Education: Bachelor’s Degree / PhD, MBA or equivalent desirable Start Date: 07/20/2018 Est. End Date: 07/20/2019
