You will independently develop strategies and conduct sourcing initiatives for a variety of indirect categories including: office supplies, reprographics, MRO, small parcel, and professional services among others. Experience in these categories is very helpful but a willingness to learn is required. However, you will use your strong analytical skills every day to find opportunities, influence stakeholders, negotiate outstanding contract terms, and track your success.To be successful, you will:Demonstrate leadership through innovation, data-driven decision making and superior communication and teamwork;Be viewed as a trusted business advisor to senior managers, providing counsel and guidance in the acquisition of products and services. Have a laser-focus on exceeding stakeholder expectations;Provide project management and strategic guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the sourcing process;Develop supplier relationships to quickly resolve issues, create and execute the category strategy, and ensure supplier alignment with the direction of the business;Implement and manage compliance metrics and performance KPIu2019sApply industry best practices and market trends to create forward-thinking category strategies;Lead contract negotiations with internal business partners to execute contracts that protect the business interests of GCP, while providing best overall value;Meet or exceed year-over-year cost reductions for assigned categories;Ensure that all suppliers under control meet or exceed Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) objectives;Maintain compliance with Corporate training and safety programs as necessary; To be considered for this position, you will have:A Bacheloru2019s Degree is required and a Masters is a plus. Professional Certification (CPM, CSPM) is strongly preferred.Minimum 5 years broad-based procurement experience including all phases of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, risk mitigation, and enabling technologies.Strong leadership skills including the ability to influence senior management through effective communication and persuasive positioningHands-on experience managing the following categories: Office Services, Equipment, Supplies; Reprographics; Plant MRO Supplies; Professional Services; EH&S Services; Utilities, and Capital Equipment. Experience sourcing other categories (e.g., IT, HR, Marketing, etc.) is a plus.Ability to read, create, and negotiate supply agreements. Experience working with legal counsel to negotiate contract terms and conditions.Strong interpersonal and team building skills to manage relationships throughout the organization.Experience with Spend Analytics systems and ability to use data to find spend reduction opportunities.Develop and run metrics-based supplier relationship management programs.Must be able to independently manage multiple projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced, global team environmentSix Sigma and or LEAN certified is a plus No. 1 in cement additives; No. 1 in can sealants; No. 1 in bonded pre-applied waterproofing membranes; No. 2 in concrete admixtures.|||**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. was formed in February 2016 by the spin-...
