In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and performance management of all third party suppliers that supply services to the Global Mobility organization in order to

optimize the value of these services for our transferees and business customers.

KBS operates a shared service, in-house corporate Global Mobility program, with all services managed by our internal team except for the outsourced home sale program.  Moving approximately 1,500 employees with in the U.S. and Canada annually; and moving approximately 150 employees internationally annually.

Approximately 40 suppliers are utilized in support of the Global Mobility program, including Temporary Living, Household Good Van Lines and Freight Forwarders, Banking, Destination Service Providers, etc.  

We do not have policies, but utilize guidelines in consulting and customization of a relocation to ensure we are making sound economic decisions.

The team includes Client Service Managers (aka Consultants), Relocation Coordinators, global payroll and compensation support, accountants, and supplier relationship management.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

Proactively developing and managing strategic supplier relationships and processes to ensure delivery of high quality, cost-effective services to the business customers and transferees.  Including…

Establishing an engagement model to ensure supplier accountability.

Developing and maintaining scorecards of suppliers based on key performance indicators.

Addressing on-going issues or trends with the supplier, including a corrective action plan.

Ensuring compliance with, and evaluating supplier’s performance relative to all contractual obligations.

Managing contract expirations, working with vendor management resources on contract renewals as well as contracts with new suppliers.

Proactively developing an understanding of the overall relocation market and trends, analyzing, and making recommendations for changes to ensure suppliers performance is equal to or better than market alternatives.

Performing supplier assessments/audits to determine supplier capabilities.

Proactively seeking and sharing knowledge with internal team members on supplier/industry changes and regulations that are impactful to relocation.

Partnering with internal team members to connect to customer needs and challenges to collaborate on innovative solutions.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years previous experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related industry.

Bachelor’s Degree

Previous experience managing supplier relationships 

A minimum of 2 years experience working with contracts

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

Relocation or Global Mobility experience

Minimum of 2 years negotiations experience

Previous experience researching trends, industry practices, potential suppliers, etc.
