A local company is looking to add a Buyer to their team. You will be responsible for the timely procurement of materials and services from suppliers while adhering to the negotiated price, quality, inventory levels and delivery to meet the company's overall needs. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.At least 2-4 years of procurement experienceExperience with heavy machinery strongly preferred;Experience in a highly customizable, fast-paced manufacturing environment preferredExperience with MRP (Syteline preferred but any MRP system experience) and or ERP systems as well as Microsoft Office tools. Specific Job Duties:Responsible for up to $20 million in material purchases.Responsible for creation of Strategic Sourcing initiatives and implementation of those strategies. These strategies should emphasis quality, delivery, and competitive pricing.Perform and interpret ERP systems planning signals and take appropriate actions.Performs systems analysis and applies an understanding of the manufacturing process and supplier capabilities to the demand sequence and job start dates generated by MRP to identify potential material availability problems.Execute purchase orders in accordance with proper procedures.Effectively manage inventory to minimize capital employed and work collaboratively with Production to ensure that materials are received in a timely manner to support production.Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm) *If you do not meet the minimum qualifications for this position please do not apply. *Must be willing to submit to a Drug Test and Background check About Aerotek: We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
