The Manager will work collaboratively with Business Owners, Risk Partners, Suppliers and Procurement / VMO team to ensure accuracy and maximization of all procurement activities. The individual represents the Procurement team, owning the relationships with both of the aforementioned groups. The Manager will assist in the overall understanding of Procurement targeting and strategy, providing recommendations for process improvements, supplier relationship management and procurement projects, process and programs. This includes set-up and creation of tests and measuring results. In particular, creating strategy and supplier prospecting by aligning to the procurement methodology which accounts for over $250MM in supplier spend. He/she is the subject matter expert and lead in procurement process, working closely with Business Owners, suppliers and Risk Partners to help drive process enhancements and cost enhancements to the business. The Manager also has ownership of the Procurement process and Category Management, which provides the roadmap for all procurement initiatives. This individual will maximize procurement lead potential and efficiency, by partnering with the Procurement senior management team to drive process changes and improvements. They are expected to be able to research and analyze all issues related to procurement and project activities. The manager is also expected to understand all procurement activities being run, to ensure consistency in methodology, and to provide recommendations for enhancements and/or analysis. The Manager must possess strong leadership skills and be able to work autonomously and effectively in a dynamic and changing work environment. Communication and prioritization skills are a must, as is the ability to present information clearly to senior management. Key Responsibilities: Key duties and responsibilities, in descending order of importance. Where possible, estimate the percentage of time spent on each key responsibility. 1. Analytical Support 20% a. Provide strategy recommendations for projects and process initiatives b. Create tests and read results of audit and risk components c. Working with VMO to manage forecasting process and provide analytical information to the team 2. Process Improvement 30% a. Research optimal methods to identify procurement populations b. Act as liaison between Risk Partner and VMO to ensure clear and accurate processes c. Identify opportunities to enhance business relationship and voice of the customer d. Work with Key Stakeholders to build and implement Vendor Relationship Management activities 3. Program & Process 30% a. Build & roll out Internal Client Relationship (communications, reports, calendars) b. Analyze & maintain Projects, Renewals, Spend & Savings c.System Tools: collect & shepherd requirements, Peoplesoft, PR PO INV process, SP d. Build & roll out Relationship Managers for designated enterprise vendors e. Compliance Activities: Manage Policies, MARC, Audits 4. Category Management 20% a. Project Portfolios: demand analysis, cost structure, brand impact b. Assess current process c. Develop category plans d. Tools & techniques: make or buy analysis, contract types, templates e. Market & Industry Profile f. Analyze Vendor Profile from VMO g. Run RFI if applicable Position Requirements/Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or other related field and/or equivalent work experience. Experience: • 3-5 years analysis experience with at minimum of 5 years of experience focused on procurement • 3-5 years of PM experience to produce appropriate procurement methodology and processes • Proficient in MS Office suite including Excel and Access DB Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain effective business area partnerships that drive strategy forward • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex data in a user-friendly format to all levels of audience • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment • Excellent project management skills • Highly motivated, proactive, resourceful, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional team • Ability to accurately identify issues, manage and implement resolution and/or appropriately elevate to senior management as needed. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. offers competitive compensation and access to a comprehensive program which includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible PTO, Holiday Pay, and 401K.
