Aon is looking for a Procurement Specialist – Category Delivery Reporting to the Global Spend Management (GSM) Category management team, the Category Delivery Specialist will have overall responsibility for managing the sourcing & negotiation activities for a pipeline of procurement opportunities. Primary responsibilities of the Category Delivery Specialist include:Management of procurement activities including sourcing, commercial negotiations, and project management for technology projects with an aim to mitigate risks and achieve intended financial outcomes.Accountable for the management and delivery of a pipeline of multiple projects including renewals and consolidations of existing relationships, request for proposals, and new supplier arrangements.Initiate appropriate sourcing work efforts against the pipeline using the appropriate resources, provide guidance and manage escalations on those individual efforts.Independently apply procurement or subject matter expertise to determine methods and procedures on assignments, ability to think creatively and adapt approach when necessary, including gaining acceptance on alternatives.Maintain productive relationships with colleagues on the Category Management team, internal stakeholders, suppliers and procurement BPO partners.As part of the global category team, contribute to our global category strategies and work across multiple category teams to develop strategies and link opportunities across regions and categories when appropriate. You Bring Knowledge and Expertise:BA/BS undergraduate degree requiredExperience in supplier negotiation and request for proposal or procurement processes preferredExperience / knowledge in procurement of any of the following spend categories :  Application Development, Application Maintenance, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO),  Hosting, Infrastructure, or Professional Services.Demonstrated financial acumen, ability to model costs and benefitsAbility to share insights and make business recommendations (e.g., cost-benefit, forecasting, experiment analysis) with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholdersDeep knowledge of Microsoft Office, with expert knowledge of Excel, and PowerPointExcellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skillsStrong relationship-building skills and able to communicate complex ideasHigh bandwidth and multi-tasking skills – easily able to handle competing priorities, remain flexible and derive creative solutions under pressureWe offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.  Our Colleague Experience: From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.  They make a difference, work with the best, own their potential, and value one another.  This is the Aon Colleague Experience, defining what it means to work at Aon and realizing our vision of empowering human and economic possibility.
