IT Procurement Analyst (18009708) Description
This position focuses on the strategic sourcing activities for Information Technology spend categories such as Maintenance, Client Services, Equipment, and Software Licensing, with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions, while maintaining/improving product quality and supplier service levels. This successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans. The Category Strategist’s primary responsibility is to utilize strategic sourcing best practices to capture savings. This includes direct savings captured through consolidating company-wide purchasing volume and applying operational and commercial Total Cost of Ownership levers to reduce cost and managing contracts with suppliers.
This position will be responsible for $50 million in annual Information Technology spend and will report directly to the Director of Procurement.
In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Expert in acquisition of technology services – specifically software development, software package implementation, and technology infrastructure projects (e.g. security, cloud, etc.) with global technology
Work with key IT business partners and senior leadership to understand strategic direction, supply requirements, business objectives and priorities in order to drive cost savings and efficiencies
Develop, champion, and ensure implementation of strategies that will optimize total cost of ownership year-over-year for assigned spend categories while collaborating with relevant stakeholders, to secure and maintain buy-in and support
Research and maintain a current deep-level understanding of the assigned IT categories by providing market and industry intelligence, innovation and best practices, risk assessments and category management plans to influence the current and future needs of the organization and its stakeholders
Establish and maintain strategic and collaborative relationships with all stakeholders and suppliers to ensure successful implementation, support and guarantee continuity of goods and services that meet the quality, service and price performance standards of the company
Advance supplier and fact-based negotiation strategies to manage key supplier relationships, product specifications, and create cost effective comparisons and provide recommendations that align with company goals
Support supplier risk assessment, performance and relationship management through the implementation and administration of supplier measurement programs which establish and maintain collaborative, long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and make recommendations to stakeholders for additions/deletions from the supplier pool
Serve as liaison between suppliers and company stakeholders during sourcing initiatives including RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitation efforts.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle process of Contract Management from development to executions including monitoring contract compliance and identifying risk and recommendations for remediation
Report ongoing progress against project milestones
The ideal candidate will:
Possess a B.A./B.S. in business, finance, supply chain, or related field
Successful track record in contract/sourcing/legal experience for large-scale operation
Knowledge and experience of IT category and contracts development, negotiation and administration concepts and practices (minimum 3 years)
Able to aggressively take the lead on implementation of savings opportunities that affect numerous lines of business
Demonstrate candor; ability to respectfully challenge senior leadership
Strong analytical capabilities and negotiation skills
Excellent project management and communication skills including the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership and construct meaningful presentations and business cases
Experience in integrating S2P/P2P solution a plus
3-5 years of relevant work experience
